How to install The Art of Negotiating in Windows 7, Vista or XP

  1. Create a folder named Nego on the C: drive
  2. Find the file you downloaded. Click on it to unzip it. Specify that the contents go in the Nego folder.
  3. Then, open Windows Explorer and go to the Nego folder. Find the Nego.exe file. On your system it may be simply be named Nego.
  4. Right mouse click on the file, Nego.exe, and open the Properties.
  5. Click on the Compatibility Tab and Click Windows 98 / Windows Me
  6. Then, click on the Screen tab and click on Usage: Window
  7. Click OK. You are almost done.
  8. Now right mouse click on Nego.exe and drag it to the desktop. Select Make shortcut.
  9. You can now run the software from by clicking on the shortcut on your desktop.
  10. Please note: In Windows 7, Vista or XP, the software will only print to a text file, which you can open with Notepad.

How to run The Art of Negotiating(R) in Windows 7

  1. Support for native DOS has been completely phased out of Windows 7. As you are probably already aware, the command prompt in Windows is NOT DOS, though it does function in a similar manner.
  2. However, you can use the emulator DOSbox. Be aware also that when you configure DOSbox, you're actually telling it how many processor cycles and how much RAM you want it to suck away from Windows processes. If you run DOSbox by itself, it's not really an issue, but if you want to run it in conjunction with your normal Windows programs, it can be a performance issue depending on what you're doing at the time.
